Following up from our previous Sold Out event in Liverpool, headlined by BITE in collaboration with North west stalwart Boot Magazine, This time we decided to look further North and highlight some of the amazing talent emerging from the North East.
The amount of talent in the region is vastly overlooked, and it was an almost impossible task to narrow it to 3 Acts – but we couldn’t be more thrilled with the three we chose to represent the region.
Three bands who did themselves and the North East proud, on a packed, sweaty, electric, Sold Out evening at Zerox Newcastle.
Porcelain
Our Headliners for the evening, The Alt-rockers have gone from strength to strength. Their artistic style blending seamlessly through emotional vocals, cutting, complex and brilliant guitar tones for a full sound that very much sets them apart from their contemporaries.
A special band – who are just beginning to demonstrate their immense talents.
STRAYS
A group who very much embody that classic “Rock n Roll” spirit with a sound that is a thrilling juxtaposition – something nostalgically refreshing. Their style and Music is very reminiscent of the best to come from Grunge Rock era – think Nirvana, with a smattering of Foo fighters , and a whole host of other influencers:
Gritty and great.
Mule
Our openers, very much the newcomers of the bunch however their music already very much knows itself. The mixture of rustic tones combined with the perfect level of distortion creates an emotional shoegazey vibe with plenty of bite to it.
For their first ever live performance – they completely smashed it.
