BOOTFEST 2025 : Our highlights

We run down our performance highlights from this year’s edition of BOOOTFEST

Saturday 19th July saw Future yard play host to this year’s edition of the ever growing BOOTFEST. Some generous British weather (with brilliant music to accompany) saw the Birkenhead based venue play host to one of the best up and coming north west festivals.

Here are our Artist highlights:

Bite

They day was kicked off with local talent Bite, who represent a nice little teaser or Bite-sized chunk of what talent Merseyside has to offer.

Their soothing melodies with rocky overtones were a perfect way to set the tone for the day Demonstrating the endless conveyor belt of talent this region permanently has in waiting.

Vincent’s Last Summer

Enigmatic, enthusiastic and overall fantastic , Vincent’s last summer truly were unique and brilliant in equal measure – an act that just works on an instinctual level.

The aura they have on stage alone is something to behold, with that, we back them to be headlining stages like this in no short time at all.

Hannah Mazey

The perfect blend of expressive ballads with an indie rock core. Strong guitar riffs with even stronger vocals to go with it.

Hannah Mazey put on a stellar performance, highly reminiscent of the iconic Hayley Williams: melodic but powerful.

Permanent Joy

Their synthy pop blend, with a serving of pure rock guitar, and heavy drums to wash it down with went down a treat.

The vocals are silky, and the crescendo of sound just compliments each other in such a natural way – it’s easy to see why Permanent Joy are quickly carving a place for themselves in the north west scene.

Cassia

At times it felt like their sound was pulled straight from a FIFA soundtrack, and that is genuinely one of the biggest compliments we can give. Cassia were such a positive energy on stage so easy to move along and get involved with.

lead Rob Ellis has very enchanting, almost hypnotising vocals, yet still maintains a healthy intensity. This creates a sound that is impossible not to love ; the perfect way to sign off a summer’s day packed with great music.

BOOTFEST 2025 went down an absolute storm, bringing together some of the best from the indie music scene together, with the perfect smattering of promising north west talent. The ideal way to spend a day this festival season.
