The team had sneak peak of Lydia Prettyman’s upcoming single ‘Ribcage’ ahead of its release tomorrow. 

The Manchester based Musician shared with us the upbeat, indie-pop love song, inspired by the feeling when that person is always “nestling inside [your] ribcage”.

A song, in her own words, “About feeling nothing but adoration for another person; wanting to constantly be with them, touch them, and love them.”. The track itself is somewhat reminiscent of the likes of a Bebadoobe, a tone of music that is somehow invigorating yet calming in the same instance.

Lyrically the piece is like honey; very elegant, thoughtful, yet sweet piece of music. Something that could just as easily be Sang aloud to, as it could serve as a vibey song to add to your chill out play list.

In short… we loved it. Lydia’s melodic and soothing vocals partner brilliantly with sumptuous guitar riffs, and hypnotic drumming to create a brilliantly catchy indie-pop track . You couldn’t ask for more from a single, it has everything you could want, depth, replayability and displays real musical talent.

If this is the quality we can intend to expect from any future tracks, then note the name “Lydia Prettyman” right here and now. As, based off what we have seen, she certainly is an artist that could turn out to be something special.

Taking this all into account, this is definitely one to add to your playlist, we give it a deserving 8.9/10 .
